Insufficient lighting triggers etiolation, where the plant stretches tall and thin, sacrificing its structural integrity for upward growth.
For optimal health, position your aloe near an east or west-facing window where it receives 6 to 8 hours of gentle, indirect sunlight daily. A south-facing window is acceptable, but you should filter the intense afternoon sun with a sheer curtain to prevent leaf scorching.
