Fire Tv Display Not Working

I for some reason cannot connect my windows laptop to my insignia fire TV using screen mirroring anymore. It was working before, and right now the situation is that I hold down the home button as suggested online, and simply press the display mirroring option. My amazon fire stick won't let me resize my screen using "Calibrate Your Display".
