In many ways, the 635CSi is a superlative car. It produces prodigious speed, thanks to its new 3.4. Introduced for the 1979 model year, the Automatic 635CSi was a variant of the E24 BMW 6 Series.
Initially, the 635CSi was powered by BMW's 215hp M90 inline six engine, but from the 1983 model year, BMW's M30 engine was used. At first, the 182hp M30B34 3.4L inline six was fitted, but from 1988, the larger and more powerful 208hp M30B35 3.5L inline six was used. All engines used on the automatic.
