The Zebrafish is endemic to Australia. It is known from northern New South Wales, around the south of the country, including north-eastern Tasmania, to the central coast of Western Australia. This elongated black-and-white striped fish can be found individually and in schools, and is easily recognised by its yellow tail. It is one of the only members of the family Girellidae found in SA waters (other than the Luderick) and by far the most common. What is the distribution of Girella zebra? Endemic to the southern half of Australia, from Clarence River, New South Wales, to Port Denison, Western Australia, and Tasmania.
