Flip the picnic table frame so that the tabletop is facing down. Begin attaching the bench slats to the underside of the tabletop. Start with the center slat, positioning it so that it's centered both lengthwise and widthwise. Attach it to the tabletop using 2.5-inch screws.
Space the remaining slats evenly on either side of the center slat, leaving a small gap between each slat for drainage. Attach each slat to the tabletop using 2.5-inch screws. Ensure the slats are flush with the outer edges of the tabletop.
Finishing Touches
