Design and Dimensions
For this project, we'll create a console table that's 48" wide, 16" deep, and 30" tall. You can adjust these dimensions to fit your space, but keep in mind that the tabletop should be at least 12" deep for functionality.

Assembly
Legs and Stretchers
Attach the stretchers to the legs using pocket hole joints. Drill two pocket holes on the inside of each stretcher piece, then glue and nail them to the legs. Ensure the legs are square and use clamps if needed.
Apron
Attach the apron to the bottom of the legs using brad nails. This will provide additional support and a finished look.
Tabletop
Attach the tabletop to the legs using wood glue and brad nails. Make sure the tabletop overhangs the legs evenly on both sides. Allow the glue to dry completely before proceeding.
Finishing Touches
Sand the table lightly, then apply your chosen stain or paint. Allow it to dry, then apply a protective layer of polyurethane. Let it dry according to the manufacturer's instructions, and your DIY console table is ready to be placed in your home!
