There are four fare zones in the West of England area. The West of England zone allows travel in Bristol, Bath and Weston. Bath & Bristol Outer Zone Day Go anywhere in this larger zone as much as you like for one day, including Bath, Bristol, or as far afield as Clevedon, Melksham and Chipping Sodbury.

If you want to use services other than the U1/U2/U5, you can still get a 10% discount by purchasing a student ticket on the First Bus App. You can use the below tickets on any of services within your chosen zone, including Bath Unibus Services U1 & U2 (excludes special event & Airport Flyer services).
From 1 January 2025, the government single fare cap is rising to £3, however many of our fares will remain below £3. Student and young people can get tickets discounted by up to 10% on the First Bus app. A flat fare structure is in place in the Bath, Bristol and Weston-super-Mare Zones.

This means that wherever you travel in that zone, the price of a single journey will be the same. In the. West of England Zone single fares apply when travelling outside or between the Bath, Bristol and Weston-super-Mare Zones.
The Government's £3 single fare cap will be in place until 31 December 2025.
