When a client approached deVOL to redesign the small kitchen of her 1790s Georgian home in North Nottinghamshire village, she wasn't looking for inspiration.
She already had it: lace. "They live in the original house and wanted to restore the space rather than renovate. The house was developed by a Victorian lacemaker, so she felt like our Lace Market Tiles were the perfect fit," says.
The kitchen design uses deVOL's Shaker cabinets, painted in deVOL's own rich Refectory Red shade. The richly painted cabinets are topped with honed black granite. The Shaker cabinets fit beautifully in the historic home, making it look as if this kitchen has been here forever.
