Before diving into the specifics of the floor plan, it's essential to understand the space you're working with. In our example, we're working with a rectangular space, approximately 3,000 square feet, with a large window facing the street and a door at the back for kitchen access.

The Front of House
The front of house (FOH) is the area where guests interact with staff and enjoy their meals. It includes the dining area, bar, and host stand. Here's how our example floor plan breaks down this space:

We've included a mix of two-tops, four-tops, and larger communal tables to cater to various needs. The layout allows for easy navigation between tables and encourages conversation flow.
Bar: The bar is situated at the back of the dining area, creating a natural division between the FOH and the kitchen. It's designed to seat eight guests comfortably, with standing room available. This layout encourages interaction between guests and staff while maintaining a clear path for servers.
The Back of House
The back of house (BOH) is where the magic happens. It includes the kitchen, prep areas, storage, and staff-only spaces. Here's how our example floor plan maximizes efficiency in the BOH:
