Screw the clean aerator back onto the faucet firmly, but avoid over-tightening, which can crack the housing.

If cleaning the aerator doesn’t resolve the issue, the next step is to examine the cartridge. This internal valve controls the flow of water and the mixing of hot and cold. Over time, the washers and seals inside the cartridge can wear out or become clogged with debris, acting like a blockage inside the system. Replacing a faulty cartridge usually requires removing the faucet handle, which is a task best handled with care or guided by a manual to avoid damaging the fixture.

Finally, check the flexible supply lines that connect the faucet to the pipes under your sink. These hoses can develop kinks internally, restricting the flow of water. They can also become clogged with rust or sediment from the pipes. If the lines are old and rigid, replacing them with new braided steel lines can not only solve the pressure issue but also prevent a potential leak in the future.
