GRAPE DESKTOP FOR GRAPE MAINNET Grape Mainnet is chain 47273. GRP on Grape Mainnet has real value: keep your key backup safe, and download Grape only from the download page in the Grape wallet. Check a download against SHA256SUMS.txt; SHA256SUMS.txt.sig is Grape's signature over it (allowed_signers holds Grape's public key): ssh-keygen -Y verify -f allowed_signers -I grape-release -n grape-desktop-downloads -s SHA256SUMS.txt.sig < SHA256SUMS.txt shasum -a 256 -c SHA256SUMS.txt MAC (Apple Silicon, macOS 13 or later): open the DMG and drag Grape into Applications. The app is signed with Grape's Developer ID and notarized by Apple: it opens with no warning. If macOS warns that the app is damaged or from an unidentified developer, do not open it; download it again. WINDOWS (x64, Windows 10 or later): run the installer. It runs the wallet and the Grape apps through Grape Mainnet's public RPC (rpc.grap3.com), with your keys on your PC. It does not run a local node or validator. The installer is not yet signed with a Windows publisher certificate, so Windows SmartScreen shows a warning: check the checksum above before choosing Run anyway. LINUX (x64, Ubuntu 22.04 or a compatible newer distribution): allow the AppImage to execute, or extract the tar.gz. AppImages need the FUSE 2 compatibility library (libfuse2 / libfuse2t64). START 1. Open Grape. It verifies the Grape Mainnet network manifest in the installer: chain 47273 and the genesis pinned in the app. 2. Create a wallet, use your private key, or restore an encrypted backup. A wallet from the Grape testnet app is not moved automatically (the testnet app's data stays on this computer, untouched): use its private key or its encrypted backup file. Testnet GRP never becomes Grape Mainnet GRP. 3. On Mac and Linux, Grow > Run a full node starts your node: it syncs and verifies Grape Mainnet from Grape's seed and shows when it is in sync. 4. Validator registration needs four witnesses. Grape's witness service for desktop validators is not open on Grape Mainnet yet; until it is, the app says so and your full node keeps running. If you ran a validator with the Grape testnet app, remove its validator services first (testnet app: Grape menu > Remove validator services), or, if the app is gone, as an administrator: Mac: sudo /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/org.grape.helper uninstall --purge Linux: sudo /usr/local/libexec/grape/grape-helper uninstall --purge The network manifest in this installer is valid for one year. Install a newer Grape Desktop release before then (this release has no automatic updater).
