\"\"<\/a>David Evans<\/strong> is the President of David A. Evans LLC. He was the founder, president, CEO and chief scientist of JustSystems Evans Research, Inc., and also a chief scientist and director for JustSystems Corp. in Japan.
\n
\nDr. Evans developed the CLARIT system, which pioneered the use of NLP-based language analysis to support automatic text indexing, retrieval, filtering, categorization, summarization, extraction, and information organization (all within a single process). Today, CLARIT is the core technology in JustSystems’s ConceptBase product and has become the leading enterprise knowledge management software suite in Japan (with over 50% market share).
\n
\nHe received his Ph.D. in Linguistics from Stanford University in 1982. He also joined Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) in 1983 as Professor of Linguistics and Computer Science. At CMU, he established and directed the Computational Linguistics Program (1985) and the Laboratory for Computational Linguistics (1986).

\nDr. Evans has published 3 books and produced more than 200 articles and other technical reports. He has been awarded 25 U.S. patents.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
