Go south of Pewter City and use cut on the tree, then carry on going south until you enter a building with one of the professors aides in who will give you HM05 Flash if you have caught 10. HM05 (Flash) can be obtained from Professor's Oak Aide on the eastern portion of the north side of Route 2. This section of Route 2 can only be access by going through Diglett Cave near Vermilion City.
