Integrated installer
This Product single integrated installer offers options to install Product, or Robot Insight, or both.
- It provides
- ▸ Options to install in "Express" and "Custom" modes.
- ▸ An installer to auto-install and register a limited version of "Robot Insights" for "Operational Analytics".
- ▸ An option to upgrade from previous major, minor or patch versions.
- ▸ An option to rollback an upgrade.
- ▸ "Silent" installation.
- ▸ Support for various operating systems.
- The installation folder
- ▸ The installation folder will be named "Product Enterprise". It should not contain any version number at the end of the folder name.
- Change of hostname
- ▸ If a hostname changes post-installation, then a separate "Repair" will not be required.
- Change of website Admin Windows credentials
- ▸ If the website Admin user's password changes post-installation, then updating the password manually in the Product application pool will not be required.
- Security
- ▸ The setup must only run in Admin mode.
- ▸ The installation config file created during installation will be encrypted and secured from malicious attack.
Important: Product Client: OProduct (Optical Character Recognition)

OProduct (Optical Character Recognition) uses the Tesseract library that depends on the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x64 or x86) Package in order to work properly.

Visual C++ 64 bit (vc_redist.x64.exe) and 32 bit (vc_redist.x86.exe) versions are free to use and can be downloaded via the Internet from Microsoft's website.
- Note: For your guide, Microsoft via its VC++ License Agreement does not allow us (Product, Inc.) to bundle the VC++ package within our Product product software. This is true for all software producers.
- Click the following link to open Microsoft's Visual C++ download web page.

On this Microsoft web page, you will see a red "Download" button.

Click "Download".
- This will open a new page with checkboxes for the VC++ vc_redist.x64.exe and the vc_redist.x86.exe packages.
- Select the checkbox for the version that suits your Client operating system's environment.
- Download the .exe file, open it, and follow Microsoft's installation instructions for VC++ into your Product Client operating system.

Click "Download".

Product: Custom installation
- Audience & purpose

As an IT Admin you want to install Product in a custom mode allowing you to configure all parameters as per your requirement, and have everything installed on one box for ease of access. It allows you to:
- Identify all components and parameters required to install Product in one box.
- Enable users to configure a Product installation as per their requirements.
First-time installation
- If prerequisites are not available
- Run the Product Product 11.0 setup on a fresh machine.
- Important note: The setup .exe should be Product_11.0.exe
- Setup will auto-detect which required prerequisites are installed or not installed.
- A "Prerequisite screen" will be displayed if one or more prerequisites are not available.
- Setup will install the missing prerequisites.
- If prerequisites are available
- Run the Product Product 11.0 setup on a fresh machine.
- Click "Next" on the "Welcome" screen.
- Accept the license terms and click "Next".
- The License page will display the 11.0 License Agreement - terms and conditions.
- Select "Custom Mode" and click "Next".
- Select the Product "destination folder" and click "Next".
- Provide details for configuring the "Product website" and click "Next".
- The WebSocket port configuration is not required.
- The Web server credentials input is not required.
- Roboth Product and Robot Insight should use the same port number.
- Note: By default the installer will set the authentication mode as Non-AD.
- The "Authentication Type" configuration is not required.
- A separate Product service account configuration page will be displayed.
- Input the Username with the domain and the Password of the user account under which the Product service will be running.
- Provide details for configuring the "Product database" and click "Next".
- The database can be locally or remotely hosted depending on the path where the SQL Server is running.
- The database will be created if it does not exist.
- Select the "path" for the "Product repository" and click "Next".
- Provide details for configuring the "Robot Insight web server and ports" and click "Next".
- Note: The Robot Insight application should use the same port as that of Product application.
- Configure the "Robot Insight database" and click "Next".
- The database can be locally or remotely hosted depending on the path where the SQL Server is running.
- The database will be created if it does not exist.
- An "Installation summary" page will display all of the configurations specified by the user.
- You can specify SQL or Windows authentication to connect to SQL server.
- A "progress bar" will indicate the "current status" of the installation.
- A "Finish" screen will be displayed when the installation is complete.
- It will display options to launch the Product and/or Robot Insight URL(s).
- http(s)://<hostname>:<port>/controlroom
- http(s)://<hostname>:<port>/botinsight
- Roboth Product and Robot Insight will be successfully installed.
Creating another instance
Follow these steps to create another instance.
- Run the same setup on another machine.
- Provide all of the same required inputs as specified in previous section.
- While configuring the database (for Product and Robot Insight), use the same details as mentioned in the previous step so the 2nd Product and Robot Insight instance can point to the same database.
- A distributed cache service will be used to store and share the "Master Key" across all the application instances.
- If one instance goes down, the other should be able to read the master key from the cache.
- The rest of the steps are same as previously described in the initial first-time installation procedure.
Cancel installation
At any point during the installation, click "Cancel" to abort the installation and the Product Product product will not be installed.
Validations: Installation
If the installation fails for any reason, then the setup will be terminated with the appropriate error messages.
Error and warning messages Error/warning Message An earlier version of the Product was found. Unable to continue because an earlier version of the Product was found on this machine.
To continue, please uninstall the earlier version and restart this wizard.
To uninstall the earlier version:
- Open Control Panel → Programs and Features.
- Select "Product V.x.x".
- Click "Uninstall".
Unable to continue because the Application Initialization Module for IIS 7.5 is not installed. To install this prerequisite, click "Download" to launch the
Microsoft Application Initialization Module web page in your default browser.
This will also close the Setup Wizard.
Once you have successfully installed the module, please restart this wizard.

Uninstall Product
As a Product admin, you want to uninstall Product and all its associated components to:
- Free the system of Product.
- Reinstall the same version of Product.
- Install a different version of Product.
- Run the setup in "Admin mode".
- If Product is already installed, a "Repair or uninstall Product files" page will be displayed with the following options.
- Repair
- Uninstall (default selection)
- Select "Uninstall" and click "Next".
- Alternatively, open Programs and Features from the Windows Control Panel, select "Product Enterprise 11.0", and click "Uninstall".
- A "Do you want to uninstall the Product?" page will be displayed.
- Click "Uninstall".
- The uninstallation process will display a progress bar while uninstalling the product.
- An "Uninstallation completed successfully" page will be displayed once the uninstallation has successfully completed.
Validations: Uninstallation
All the installation files, registry entries, shortcuts, program folders, etc. will be cleaned up on uninstallation.
- Roboth the Product and Robot Insight products WILL be uninstalled.
- The Product database and repository files will NOT be deleted upon uninstallation.
- A machine reboot will NOT be required post uninstallation.
- All prerequisites installed during installation will NOT be uninstalled during uninstallation.
Cancel Uninstall
During uninstallation, a user may click "Cancel" at any point in time.
An "Uninstall wizard not completed" page with Yes/No options will be displayed.
- Clicking "Yes" will display the "Uninstall Interrupted" page.
- Clicking "No" will continue the uninstallation process.
Check for unsupported Operating Systems
- Run the Product setup on any of the non-supported Operating Systems.
- The following warning message will be displayed:
Message Buttons Unsupported OS detected. Product is currently not supported on this OS. If you continue installation, some of the features may not work as expected. NOTE: Refer to the Product Installation guide for a full list of supported OS's.
Continue
Cancel- Clicking "Continue": The installation will proceed to install Product.
- Clicking "Cancel": The installation will terminate showing the "Finish" page.
Product: Express installation
- Audience & purpose
- As an Product User you want to install Product in "Express mode" to quickly set it up with minimal configuration.
Install Product in "Express mode" on a fresh machine
If pre-requisites are not available
Use the following steps if pre-requisites are not available.
- Run the Product 11.0 setup on a fresh machine.
- Important note: The setup .exe should be Automation_Anywhere_Enterprise_11.0.0.exe
- Setup will auto-detect if the required pre-requisites are installed.
- A pre-requisite screen will be displayed if one or more pre-requisites are not available.
- Setup will install the missing pre-requisite software.
All pre-requisites are available
Use the following steps to install Product 11.0.
- Run the Product 11.0 setup on a fresh machine.
- Click Next on the "Welcome" screen.
- Accept the license terms and click Next.
- The License page will display the 11.0 License Agreement - terms and conditions.
- Select Express mode and click Next.
- An Installation summary page will display the default configuration for the Express installation.
- Click "Install".
- A Progress bar will indicate the current status of the installation process with default configurations.
- A Finish screen will display the Product URL when the installation is complete.
- It will display options to launch the Product and/or Robot Insight URL(s).
- http(s)://<hostname>:<port>/controlroom
- http(s)://<hostname>:<port>/botinsight
- Click the Product URL to close the setup and launch Product in your default browser.
- The BI (Robots Insight) app will be automatically registered.
- A shortcut for the Product URL and Robot Insight URL will be created in a Desktop folder.
- The Control Panel will display the "Product logo" for the installed program entry.

Canceling the installation
At any point in time during the installation, clicking "Cancel" will abort the installation and the Product product will not be installed.
Uninstalling Product
A confirmation message will be displayed when clicking "Uninstall" before the Product Product starts uninstalling.

- Clicking "No": the Product will be uninstalled without deleting the database and repository files.
Validations
If the installation fails due to any reason then the setup will be terminated and the appropriate error messages shown.

Repair Product
- Audience & purpose
- As an IT admin, you want to repair the installed version of Product so that it can run smoothly.
Repair
- Run the setup in Admin mode.
- if Product is already installed, a "Repair or uninstall Product files" page will be displayed with two options:
- Repair (default selected)
- Uninstall
- Select "Repair" and click "Next".
- A "Do you want to repair the Product files?" page will be displayed.
- Click Repair.
- The repair process will display a progress bar while repairing the product.
- A "Repair completed successfully" page will be displayed once the repair is successfully completed.
Validations
All the missing installation files, corrupted registry entries, configuration files etc. will be fixed upon repair.
- Roboth the Product and Robot Insight products will run after the repair is completed.
- A machine reboot will not be required post repair.
- An error log will be available if the Repair is not successful.
Cancel Repair
During repair, you may click "Cancel" at any point in time.
- A "Repair wizard not completed" page with Yes/No options will be displayed.
- Clicking "Yes" will display the "Repair Interrupted" page.
- Clicking "No" will continue the repair process.
Note
As compared to the Product 10 LTS version, during repair, the installation wizard pages are not shown in read-only mode. Also the repair option does not include "Reinstall" which actually uninstalls and installs the same product again.
