So the Versys served me well for my trip and is a great commuter around town, my #1 choice. But it sucked for my 928 mile day on the highway, i did make it and could still walk but I was ass sore. 500 miles might have been ok but still a bit uncomfortable so i am now looking at a low mile K1200S electronically adjustable suspension, motorad nav, hard cases.

sitting in Kansas as an upgrade any. I just picked up a 2000 k1200rs. The fairings are in pretty bad shape.

I was thinking of removing them and building a little cafe racer. Any tips would be very welcome i.e. a metal gas tank and seat that would fit the frame.
