Bmw K1200r Ews

My 2006 K 1200 gt is showing the EWS warning when i try to start. Both Keys I own. But when i turn the bars completely to the left and try to start, No EWS warning.

My '07 K1200R Sport has suffered another EWS failure. The first time this happened was at about 1,000 miles into its life. The antenna ring was replaced and all was well until this morning, 2,000 miles later.

I have an 06 K1200R. The VIN is not within BMW's recall range, and the bike has a quirk that I wonder is normal, related to the antenna ring, or something else. About 1 time in 4, when starting the bike, I get the big EWS display and the ignition is unresponsive.

The problem is solved in every instance by switching the ignition off, and immediately back on again. Then the bike starts as normal. EWS failure option Ok, You guys have me worried now.
