The optional Dynamic ESA by BMW Motorrad is an electronic suspension that opens up entirely new possibilities while providing driving safety and performance. I strictly ride solo and set the ESA pre-load with rider and luggage when riding WITHOUT luggage and switch to 2 up when I'm on a trip with luggage. This is to accommodate my 215 lbs. In the rider w/luggage setting, the bike height is set higher--which is OK because I'm 6'1" with a 35" inseam.
