Ews Bmw 1200 Rt

EWS by Cornwall Thu Oct 20, 2022 3:41 pm So my previously totally reliable 2008 R1200RT has now let me down. Initially the fault manifested itself by the bike cutting out whilst riding, as if the ignition were just switched off, but ignition on and display showing engine MIL. This morning I went to start my 2009 R1200RT and the large yellow warning triangle was lit up and the LED had a rather large "EWS" in it.

The bike would not start. After recycling the ignition switch off and then on it was back to normal and started right up. Anyone know what this may be about?
