Kids - Black Man Gave up his First-Class Seat For Pregnant Woman, Then She Did THIS! Darius boarded Flight 419 to Chicago, squeaking his best-beloved first-class seat—a luxury antithetical to being a data analyst. He had come from Louisville, Ky., to be an extra for the day as much as to experience one final scene at Mr Rogers’s place before it would be dismantled as a set in a few days, following its 17-year run on public television, a duration that Mr Rogers himself worked into the show. He was sitting with a writer outside Make-Believe, trying not to wake up by smiling. The airport had been bedlam, but now he could unwind. A very pregnant woman named Grace waddled down the aisle grimacing, as passengers crowded themselves onto the aeroplane. She patted her stomach and scanned the seats frantically. Her husband, Tom, followed, hands full with bags and crazy-eyed. “Is there any extra space?” “May I please have water?’” Grace murmured to the flight attendant. Darius watched her suffering and bolted upright, without another thought in his mind. “Oh, please do sit in my seat,” he said softly, indicating 1A. Grace’s eyes widened in shock. “Are you sure? That’s first class!” Darius smiled warmly. “You need it more than I do. Have a safe flight.” Grace slumped down into the soft seat and let out a huge sigh of relief, while Tom shook Darius’s hand heartily. “Thank you so much, sir. Do you realise what that means?” Darius simply nodded and folded himself into a cramped coach seat in the middle, with crying babies and chatty neighbours on both sides. The flight sailed through the air into the heavens. Grace was dozing in the bow, and every now and then Tom would turn back to look at Darius with thanks. Tom met Darius at the baggage claim when the plane landed in Chicago. “Hey! I’m Tom, and that was my wife, Grace. We can’t thank you enough.” Darius picked up his suitcase. “Happy to help. How’s she feeling?” Tom’s smile faded. “On the mend, but we’re going through it. Grace’s dad just passed away. Left a pile of money problems and scary notes.” Grace came in with them, cupping her belly. “Someone named Clyde Harris is threatening us to have it covered up.” Darius’s cutting analyst brain flicked on. “I work with numbers. I want to see the papers—bring them to me.” The couple’s eyes sparkled with hope. That night, in a quiet coffee shop at the airport, they spread out bank statements, letters and old contracts. Darius noticed odd patterns immediately. “Money is moving out fast. This looks like embezzlement.” Grace gasped. “Dad owned a factory. Clyde was his partner.” “Clyde won’t stop calling — ‘Quit digging, you’ll be sorry.’” Grace’s phone buzzed with a new text: Last warning. Back off. Darius’s jaw tightened. “This is serious. We need more proof.” His one-time friend Lena, a private investigator, was his first port…….…….........Full story in comment 👇 | Facebook
