Probably every veteran player of the DS3 knows that right after the first boss, if you go to the Firelink Shrine, and use the stairs to the right, after entring the Shrine, you will eventually reach a small tower with metal bars. (Opened later with a key). And to the left from the tower there is a tree, from which you could jump on the roof to pick up a number of objects.
My question is. Once you find the angle on the tree that gets you the highest, sprint straight at it, then cut a 90 ° jump to the right immediately at the top. The angle will look like you're jumping too far right, but resist the urge to jump more forward.
Just run straight forward up the tree, then jump directly right. The Dark Souls 3 Firelink Shrine tree jump isn't too hard once you have the right strategy. Make sure you lower your equip weight (unequip everything or at least use lighter armor).

Been with from the start, uneffected by all patches, reliable but tricky, helpful and just secret enough that you have to look up online how to do it or even to know it's possible unless you pay real close attention to your surroundings and understand the mechanics well. Today gonna show ya how to jump from the tree on the roof to get shiny ring and introduce ya to pickle rum and pump pa pee crow twins! Enjoy! For Dark Souls III on the PlayStation 4, a GameFAQs Q&A question titled "can the tree jump trick to get on the roof of firelink shrine be used even in the Untended Graves?".
Everyone is reacting like this because most people try this jump as you would in real life: so running in the direction were the tree is bended, to go higher, and then trying to jump sideways towards the roof. Needles to say that this jump needs much more skill (or luck) to be pulled off, compared to that in the video.
