Sonic Colors Vs Generations

While Modern Sonic's gameplay in the console/PC version is a mix of 3D and 2.5D platforming (similar to Sonic Unleashed and the Wii version of Sonic Colors), his gameplay is solely in 2.5D (similar to Sonic Rush, Sonic Rush Adventure and the Nintendo DS version of Sonic Colors).

Unleashed, Generations, and Colors are some of my favorite games of all time, and it's time to put them up against each other, and seeing how Forces compares to them. I will specifically be comparing Unleashed on the PS3, Colors on the Wii, Generations on the PS3, and Forces on the Switch. It's a four game battle royale!

The following is a list of version differences between the various ports of Sonic Generations. Throughout the various releases, it has been subject to alterations of the gameplay and certain mechanics. Some versions also have various new additions not present in the original release. Released in Europe November 12, 2010, the first release of the game. Released in North America November 16.

Either way, Generations is still fondly remembered as well. It isn't that Colors and Generations are suddenly no longer good; But a lot of their praise came from how good they were compared to the trash Sonic Team was churning out before.

With past disasters like Sonic '06, Sonic Genesis and Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric attributed to their name, one would assume Sega's top priority going forward is ensuring that all releases for their This video also clearly shows the technical difficulties of Ultimate and how it really brings down the experience.

I'm playing Sonic Colors right now and I don't know exactly what it is but I felt like Sonic handled a lot better in Generations as opposed to Colors. I don't remember having nearly as much of an issue with modern sonic in Generations (although still he controlled a little weird there too but I come to expect at least a little jank with any 3D sonic game lol. Feels like it kinda has to). Well.

Colors is a more cohesive experience, as generations almost feels more like a level pack than a complete video game. However, generations' gameplay is far superior.

Sonic Generations is more polished with better stage design, but Sonic Colors is more fluent and cohesive in it's game design with more replayability. I don't know which I like more.
