Castle Colored Pencils Reddit

How are Castle Arts colored pencils? Been looking at the 120 colored pencils for a couple of years when I first heard about it. It has two versions of it that is the normal and gold, but I don't know much about it except that the gold is oil based. Are these colored pencils a good idea to purchase or should I look for another brand in the future?

Gonna tell you something people will scoff at, probably i have a full prisma color set that i do love, but the best image I ever made with colored pencils was with my box of crayolas.

I was wondering if anyone is or was using mainly castle arts pencils for their work and could give me a little insight on how they perform? Thank you!

Castle Arts Premium Colored Pencils If you remember back to my previous video, my first impression of these pencils wasn't great - the packaging had a strong smell - although it faded pretty quickly and they don't smell anymore.

Is there a noticeable difference with the castle arts gold? I'm about to reorder the 72 pc set of the regular castle art color pencils but if the gold are noticeably better then I'll go with those.

Yes Castle or Prismacolor would be my suggestions. If you want more budget friendly, Arteza colored pencils are also very good and similar to Prismacolor. Reply reply Open_Flamingo_8627.

I currently have castle art 120 ct colored pencils but I hate the waxy residue they leave an awe full waxy coat. I need an alternative.
