The Japanese script is much more tolerable. For starters, the writing is always on point and doesn't rely of cheap,cringeworthy one-liners that mock the game and it's reliance of Sonic's revival. Sure, the animation stays the same, no fault on the writers, but the Japanese script's tone leans closely towards the likes of the Dark Age era.

The waxiness on distant objects and characters probably won't be to everyone's tastes, but the jaggy Wii originals weren't particularly pretty to begin with, so you'll live. more.
