Printables Train Whistle

For my son's first birthday, we got him a train table and wooden train set. At the moment, he mostly smashes bits of track together and rams the train cars around with gusto, but I thought a train whistle would make a nice addition to round everything out.

Train Whistle Watch on Print out the single part onto card and cut it it to use as a template. You will also need a large sheet of thin card. I use a sheet 640mm x 450mm 230gsm white card. You will also need various sheets of corrugated card. We keep our Amazon delivery packages for just such an eventuality.

Same train whistle as when you were a kid. Produces four different tones to mimic real train horns. Re-live your childhood, and pass those memories to the next generation. Print vertically, with the mouth piece down to accommodate the internal design. The small whistle in the pictures is printed at 50%. Works perfectly, just with a higher pitch. Great size for the little ones.

This is my design for a 210mm tall train whistle. Designed in FreeCAD. Print instructions Takes about 10 hours at 0.2mm, 5% infill. Make sure you have good adhesion, I had to refresh my pei with acetone to get it to print after my first one came off half way into the print.
