We've lived in our house for about one year and want to improve our front yard. I personally love a English garden type look, but 1) we don't want to overwhelm ourselves and 2) our house is set 15-20ft back off the sidewalk and I feel like "busy" gardens look more appropriate with smaller yards and more cottage / Cape Cod style homes.
