Columbia University's Dinging lists campus locations where students, faculty and staff are offered an array of menu items, hours of availability and updates on all dining related news. My favorite dining hall is probably Faculty House. It's only open for lunch, but they have seating that overlooks the city and pretty decent food.
Faculty House lowkey gives country club vibes. Speaking to the crowds, as long as you don't go from 12-1 or 6:30-7:30, you usually won't hit a rush. Just like home food favorites, made fresh daily.
Special orders at the grill or features at the hot entrée station, plus pasta, international fusions, house-made soups, smoothies, and rotating Chef features. Kosher to-go counter at the main entrance. Located in John Jay on the first floor.

Battle of the Dining Halls is an epic food showdown between five Columbia Dining Halls: John Jay, JJ's Place, Ferris Booth Commons, Chef Mike's Sub Shop, and Faculty House.
