The chain of Clock Restaurants had their headquarters in Southfield, Michigan and opened a flurry of Mid. When it comes to restaurants and food, it's trendy to chase what's new and what's next.
But in a city like Detroit, where much has come and gone over the years, the old familiars offer a rich culinary experience and often feel best. These were original family sit down restaurants, well before Caesarlands started popping up in the mid to late 80s A number of these dark timber, tavern like stores were built in the 60s and 70s. Enjoy fine dining at Vintage Chophouse Wine Bar in a relaxed setting serving lunch, dinner, and drinks with one of Petoskey's best views of Lake Michigan. Northwestern Hwy and Southfield in general got really built up with commercial and office buildings. The Vineyards building stood until sometime after 2007 until it was demolished. I believe it was closed long before that.
A new restaurant was built on the lot and Bigalora sits on the site as of 2023.
