Bmw E30 With E36 M3 Engine Conversion

Based on the M50 engine family, the S50 and S52 are the factory performance variants found in the e36 M3 and Z3 M cars. Plenty powerful for the lighter e30 chassis, the S50 and S52 are a great way to reliably add significant performance to your e30. That leaves one option for increasing the horsepower of the E30: an engine swap.

I used Redline Motorsport. Regardless of the swap harness, if you want the dme to fit in the factory compartment on the passenger side, you will need to flip the main engine harness. The DME on the E46 M3 is housed on the driver side, unlike the E36, so all the wiring is orientated in that direction.
