The BMW 1 Series is a range of subcompact executive cars (C-segment) manufactured by BMW since 2004. It is the successor to the BMW 3 Series Compact and is currently in its fourth generation. BMW gambled a lot when it launched the first generation of the 1 Series in 2004, but the sales results were satisfying, so in March 2007, it unveiled the refreshed version of the car at the Geneva.
