Avon & Somerset Police have closed part of the A367 in the city centre around Avon Street, St James's Parade and the Ambury after part of the roof on the Quasar building came off in the strong winds overnight. Part of the roof continues to hang off the building, which backs onto The Forum, and debris can be seen in the surrounding roads.
