I wanted to visit Bathtub Gin since before I moved to Seattle in February of 2020. Last night was my first chance to stroll the alley between 1st and 2nd, stuck between Blanchard and Bell. Nestled in the basement of a former brick hotel, now The Humphrey Apartments is Bathtub Gin & Co.

a warm prohibition. "Bathtub Gin & Co." is by far the most favorite cult cocktail lounge speakeasy bar among Seattle locals. I swear by the Death Star and El Camino cocktails.

Bathtub Gin & Co. is a Belltown speakeasy with cocktails that are just fine, but not worth the wait it takes to get in. Enjoy prohibition-style cocktails and a warm atmosphere at Bathtub Gin & Co., located in the former boiler room of The Humphrey Building.

Owned by Jessica Gifford, the bar also offers local Gin & Tonics and classic drinks. The speakeasy trend has had its moment, and yet cocktail aficionados still do well to duck into the alley behind Second Avenue. There, a boiler room turned bilevel hideout serves cocktails wrought with care and a hot toddy approaching local legend status.
