Anybody on this forum who has got the exterior sound option? I have been told that the exterior sound comes on as default when starting the car, but it can be overridden manually. Does this also mean you can switch it on as needed whilst driving? How loud is it? Is it very audible from the. I think there is no other video that shows the outside sound of driving expect from this a bit annoying lady. And this is quite informative - about the regular eDrive acceleration sound on the i3 If only there was a volume control option on that so it could be made louder! This is an option on new i3 cars, and seems a good idea to alert people when driving slowly in busy areas.
However, on asking my dealer (Cooper Reading, UK) if it could be retrofitted to my 2016 94Ah model, the surprising answer was NO! I wonder what other options I have, given the i3's.
