Looking for the R18 lean angles so I can compare with other motorcycles. Google reviews or the user manual hasn't provided the answer. From another forum: "Recent review of the transcontinental says the regular R18 has a lean angle of 32 degrees.

The TC an B have a lean angle of 35 degrees." Not sure if that is accurate. That is not great. Just checked my BMW app, and I regularly hit 40 degrees on my 1250GS (mine is the lowered version, AND I put aftermarket lower footpegs on it and have never scraped anything).

With 30 degrees of lean angle and the unique seating position with a low seat, plus the huge cylinders demanding a narrow knee angle I just couldn't picture a comfortable ride. My test model was painted in Mineral Gray Metallic Matte, probably the coolest color available. The R 18 B and R 18 Transcontinental have a ride height of 6.3 inches and a lean angle of 35 degrees, compared to the R 18's 6.0-inch ride height and 32-degree claimed lean angle.

Im thinking about checking out the BMW R18 and wondering why people did not consider it when checking out bikes in the same class,or bought a different bike. Some reasons are obvious, like aesthetics, no forward controls, the bulging engine heads. Any other reasons?
