Terms of Service

By using Hobby Bench ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Your Account
- You may sign in with Google or Apple, or use the app with limited features without an account.
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen.
2. Subscriptions & Billing
- Hobby Bench offers a free tier and a paid "Pro" subscription.
- Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
- Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy.
- We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price change takes effect.
3. Community Features & User Content
Content you share
When you share a miniature to the community, you grant Hobby Bench a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote your content within the app. You retain ownership of your photos.
Community Guidelines
You agree not to post content that is:
- Illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing
- Sexually explicit or pornographic
- Infringing on intellectual property rights of others
- Spam, misleading, or deceptive
- Unrelated to miniature painting or tabletop hobbies
Content Moderation
- Users can report inappropriate content using the in-app report function.
- We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines without notice.
- Repeat violators may have their accounts suspended or terminated.
4. Intellectual Property
- The app, its design, code, and original content are owned by Hobby Bench.
- Paint names and brand names displayed in the app are trademarks of their respective manufacturers and are used solely for identification purposes under nominative fair use.
- Hobby Bench is not affiliated with or endorsed by any tabletop game company or paint manufacturer.
5. DMCA & Copyright Claims
If you believe content on Hobby Bench infringes your copyright, please send a notice to:

Include: (1) description of the copyrighted work, (2) the infringing content URL or description, (3) your contact information, (4) a statement of good faith belief, and (5) your signature.
We will respond to valid DMCA notices within 10 business days.
6. AI Analysis Disclaimer
- The on-device analysis engine and Studio Insight provide automated assessments for entertainment and educational purposes only.
- Scores and feedback are algorithmically generated and do not represent professional or authoritative opinions.
- We make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of analysis results.
7. Limitation of Liability
Hobby Bench is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- We are not responsible for content posted by other users.
8. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
- Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the app
- Attempt to circumvent usage quotas or billing restrictions
- Impersonate other users or misrepresent your identity
- Use the app for any illegal purpose
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through an in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of the jurisdiction where the developer is located.
