Pokemon Code Card Colors
The code is on the side not pictured. Note the different color from the English version. Code cards are Pokémon Trading Card Game cards containing codes that can be used to redeem virtual cards or other virtual products for Pokémon TCG Live and its defunct predecessor, Pokémon Trading Card Game Online.
A black lined code means that the pack will have a holo or higher and a white lined code means that you will get a regular rare. Of course because of the terrible quality control they seem to mess this up sometimes. Pokémon cards come in all different designs, styles, move sets, and artwork.

If you don't know what you're looking at (or even if you do) you will probably notice the Pokémon card colors are different between them. There are quite a few different colors and they can vary pretty drastically based on the set that they belong to. It is not the code cards that determine the pulls but the pack contents determining which code card you get.

I know you can open packs a certain way to not see the color of the card but sometimes code cards face different ways depending on the sets so it's easy to spoil. White code cards means holo rare or better (ultra, rare, full art, or secret rare).
Pokemon's quality control has been pretty bad lately so i've seen packs with green codes have holos and vice versa. Just wondering if anyone knows what the deal is with the code card colours for the scarlet and violet products? It seems like I'm either getting all white code cards in one product (ex. booster box) and then i'm getting all black code cards in another (ex.
etb).
