Hi, I just wondered if anyone else has had any problems with the electric roof on their Z4? I bought a 2005 Z4 last May from a local garage (not BMW) and the roof started to get stuck, sometimes stuck half way back or forward, stuck open & stuck shut. As I had just bought it the garage took it.

Bmw z4 e85 Roof not working Roof worked fine until one day it stopped an inch away from closing. Found nearly every other post on this subject saying its the floor switch, (Go away) bridged boot floor switch, this is ok, Checked fuses behind glove box ok, tried another module (inside small grill behind pass seat) still nothing, tried direct power to front latch motor, motor working ok.

Hi all My 2008 2.5i z4 roof is playing up. It unlatches but then the red light starts flashing. I can hear the motor but the roof doesn't move any further. I can get it to latch again with the button. many ideas what the issue may be? Thanks.

One common problem is the microswitch at the softtop frame is broken, the one that checks if you have lifted the front end manually.

The electric roof on my z4 has stopped working. The widows move normally, then theh motor sounds but there is no movement of the roof and the red indicator light begins to flash. The roof is now in the down position, so the most pressing matter is how do i get it back up (everywhere is closed as it's a Sunday!) and secondly what is the likely.

Hi I've got a 03 Z4 with an electric roof. Recently it's stopped working, before I take it to the garage I thought I'd check with you guys for advice. The catches wirl open and the roof is ready.

The electric roof on my z4 has stopped working. The widows move normally, then theh motor sounds but there is no movement of the roof and the red indicator light begins to flash. The roof is now in the down position, so the most pressing matter is how do i get it back up (everywhere is closed as it's a Sunday!) and secondly what is the likely.
