This is a rare 1985 BMW R80 G/S Paris-Dakar, just 200 were built to this specification in celebration of BMW's continued success at the world's toughest race - the Paris-Dakar Rally. BMW released the BMW R80 G/S in 1980, it's been described as the first true dual sport motorcycle. The signature Paris Dakar tank is the real deal, steel, factory-built and finished in the iconic Alpine White.

The original graphics make it instantly recognisable, while the solo seat and rear rack nod to the bike's utilitarian roots. The stock 2-into-1 exhaust remains in place, capped off with a chrome muffler and factory. In 1984, the German motorcycle manufacturer launched the BMW R 80 G/S Paris Dakar, a more off-road-oriented version of the base model, manufactured in 200 units.

The R80 G/S is considered to be the world's first "Adventure Motorcycle," equally capable of riding off- and on-road (Gelände/Strasse). The choice of many round-the world riders; it combines light weight, large luggage capacity, and a reliable engine for highway touring.
