PLANO, Texas, (Nov. 18, 2025) - Toyota's U.S. manufacturing presence is expanding again to meet growing demand for hybrid vehicles.
As a part of Toyota's recent commitment to invest up to $10 billion in the U.S. over the next five years, the company announces a $912 million investment and 252 new jobs across five manufacturing plants to increase hybrid capacity and bring hybrid. Toyota's largest manufacturing plant in Georgetown, Kentucky, is investing over $1.8 billion in new technology.
A new system called K-flex allows the plant to build SUVs, hybrids, EVs and sedans. Toyota started production at a $13.9 billion U.S. battery plant and confirmed plans to invest up to $10 billion more than expected domestically over five years.
The announcement for the West Virginia site follows an $88 million investment revealed earlier in April 2025, meaning Toyota has spent over half a billion dollars in the area in just this year. Toyota plans to build a new facility and possibly expand its existing plant, increasing its size by more than 500,000 square feet. The company estimates the facility would bring 411 new jobs with a base hourly wage of $20.54, and an average annual salary of $68,245.
