Golf R Vs Bmw Reddit

Can't decide between a Golf R or M240i I've been running circles in my brain trying to decide whether I want to get a 2025 Golf R when that releases or a 2024 BMW M240i. Reading through some posts on reddit I am seeing more people lean towards the M240i over the golf. The M240i is closer to a competitor, I believe.

I cross-shopped it and the R for quite a while. In the end, the R won me over for my "comfy daily driver with balls" needs. The M240i drove like a dream, and it's hard to beat that beautifully angry sounding inline 6, but BMW's interior left a lot to be desired to me.
