How we worked it out
The price per sq ft is a median ratio of house value estimate to floorspace. The house value is based on Zoopla house price estimates, and the floorspace is based on a combination of floorspace data from EPCs and listings data. The research looked at three to five-bedroom houses, between 2016 and 2020.
