Critter Kitchen's desperate scrabbling for ingredients and quick-fire pace make it fun to play, but it's a little too convoluted for neophyte gamers, and it's a little on the light side to. Hello, everyone! Your friendly neighborhood redheaded solo food critic here with another bgg review, this time for Cardboard Alchemy's Critter Kitchen. As many of us already know, this is the newest worker-placement and set collection game brought to us by the Alchemists down at CA, whose previous offering.

The game is short enough to enjoy but still offers just enough depth to keep players engaged. The base game alone probably won't stay in my pantry forever, but with so much expandable content, the future menus promise to stay fresh and interesting. Critter Kitchen is the hot soup coming by, and trust me-it's absolutely worth a taste.

The designer is different, but overall the game feels thematically and stylistically similar enough to call it a "sequel" to the aforementioned game. Critter Kitchen is part simultaneous.

In Critter Kitchen, every chalice is potentially poison by the time you get there. But while other players often upset your well-laid plans, the hidden location selection means it never feels cruel or targeted, giving the game plenty of interaction without too much negativity. Critter Kitchen is a hearty, feel.
