Debbie Macombers Alaskan Holiday is a warm and inviting story just what her readers have come to appreciate and expect. If I have a tiny complaint about the novel, its that Debbie Macomber doesnt include a recipe for Josie Averys Moose Goulash: it sounds delicious.

I can say going from reading to listening was a bit of a culture shock but in a good way if that makes sense.
Josie and Palmer become close during the long Alaskan summer days, but Josie knows that, come fall, shell be returning to reality and the career shes worked so hard for. In Alaskan Holiday, Josie, a chef from Seattle takes a job in Alaska for the summer where she meets Palmer. At the end of summer, Josie has to go back to Seattle, but that means leaving Palmer and Alaska behind.

I thought Alaskan Holiday was well-written, with engaging characters and a good flow. While the story does have an expected outcome, it did not hinder my reading pleasure. Upon finishing this book, I was disappointed.
The story was very predictable, and the main characters werent as likeable as other characters I have loved and treasured in other Debbie Macomber novels.
