Animal Behavior College Reddit

I attended UC Davis Animal Behavior program and received a PhD in Applied Animal Behavior in 1996. I worked as a behavior consultant for shelters and private parties with veterinary referrals. I was hired by Animal Behavior College to mentor students (interns) who wanted to become dog trainers.

Honestly an animal behavior college sounds like a very weird thing to me as I study animal behavior for research. If you are interested in a vet assistant job, you can just apply for such a job and no license/certificate is required. I found the animal behavioral college which is a 2 years program that gives me a certification.

However, I can go to a different community college and get a degree to become a vet tech. I've heard good things about the Animal Behavior College being a good school if you want to be an animal trainer, though I would recommend the Karen Pryor Academy. I haven't heard much about their vet assistant school.

This community is geared towards modern, force-free, science based methods and recommendations. Id be cautious of anything calling itself college when it is not an accredited university.. if its a for profit college that can be a scam too.

I may be incorrect but I dont think you need any type of certificate or schooling to be a zookeeper, most training happens on the job. I went to their website on the find a pet groomer thing and the closest to me was a little over 3 hours away. true I'm currently starting my last undergraduate semester for my BS in biology and I'm currently looking for the best universities to study a PhD in Animal Behavior. Please be advised that Animal Behaviour College ("ABC") is the exclusive entity authorized to provide certifications and/or degrees from Animal Behaviour College. Moreover, such certifications and/or degrees are only conferred by ABC following a student's completion of an ABC-administered program. I did a search but didn't find much.

Has anyone here heard of or attended Animal behavior college? The aquarium maintenance program? Was just curious. I've been researching different career paths. Thanks!
