To find the best cities for singles who like being single, SmartAsset pulled data from the U.S. Census Bureau. We ranked the 559 largest U.S.
cities across five different metrics, including the marriage rate, the median monthly rent and the unemployment rate in each city. Are you single and ready to mingle? In a recent study, WalletHub compared the 150 most populated US cities across three categories: Dating economics, romance and fun, and dating opportunities. I was recently asked by Jen Glantz of Bravo TV Personal Space what I think the best cities for Singles are in 2017. Below are my answers:
Their data set ranges from share of single population to number of online dating opportunities to nightlife options per capita. The best cities to be single are San Francisco, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Denver and San Diego. According to Wallethub.com, the analysts over there "utilizing 15 economics metrics, 12 fun and recreation metrics, and five dating opportunities metrics, to create this list of the best and worst cities for singles.
WalletHubs analysts compared 182 cities including the 150 most populated U.S. cities, plus at least two of the most populated cities in each state across three key dimensions: 1) Economics, 2) Fun & Recreation and 3) Dating Opportunities." Only singles over the age of 18 are included in the calculation.
Based solely on the ratio of men to women, these are the 10 best places to find singles.
