Bronx Science Bomb Threat

Numerous locations across the Tri-State Area received threats, including the Bronx Science High School. It was evacuated at 11 a.m. after a bomb threat was received by phone.

Approximately 2,500 students and staff were evacuated as a precaution due to a bomb threat at the Christopher Columbus Campus. The threat sent via a group chat triggered a major emergency response. At around noon, students appeared to be returning inside.

According to the NYPD, 2,500 students and staff from Pelham Prep Academy in the Bronx were evacuated following a bomb threat that come through around 9 a.m. On the first day of the new semester, an anonymous bomb threat sent about 1,900 students and 500 staff members on the Lehman Campus outside in the cold. At 10:45 a.m.

on Jan. 27, a voicemail left on a staff members phone threatened to bomb the school. The Department of Education (DOE) has confirmed there was a bomb threat at the Bronx High School of Science.
