Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes in the pan and then remove the poundcake from the pan and allow to cool completely. In medium bowl, combine all ingredients for the icing; mix until smooth.
Drizzle over pound cake. Mix together sugar, salt and mace in a large mixing bowl. Cream sugar mixture with butter until light and fluffy.

With just 15 minutes of active time (yes, really!), this deliciously satisfying pound cake will be ready to bake. Full instructions are below, but here's a brief recap before you get started: Preheat oven to 325F.
Grease and flour a 10 inch tube pan. Cream butter and sugars until very light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Combine dry ingredients, then add to batter alternately with milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Add vanilla. Just stir everything together (melted butter, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and a little cream), add the toasted and chopped pecans and spread it onto the Pound Cake while its still really warm.
Then place under the oven's broiler until it turns golden brown and bubbly. From a humble recipe scribbled on the back of a Domino light brown sugar box, comes a pound cake thats more than just a dessert; its a warm embrace in every slice. This tender pound cake is the first one I mastered.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar and white sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Beat in the flour mixture alternately with the milk, mixing just until incorporated.
Sir in the chopped pecans. Pour batter into prepared pan. This is different tasting pound cake, rich and good.
