Galaxy S9 Blocked Call Notification
If you cant receive calls and text messages on your Galaxy phone, the contact or number may be blocked. You can double check your blocked lists, reset your network settings, and check your SIM card to resolve the issue. You can stop notifications for blocked calls by adjusting the settings in your Phone app.
Open the Phone app, tap on the three-dot menu or settings icon, and navigate to the Blocked numbers section. i'm not sure, maybe something happened during the transferring of everything over. i actually never noticed the issue until i saw a post on here about it, i have a samsung gear watch and dismiss...
After I've blocked a spam call using the "block" button at the bottom of the call screen, when that same number calls again, I receive a notification message that it was blocked, and of course, it doesn't ring. To stop blocked call text notifications on the Galaxy S9 Plus, open the Phone app, tap Settings, then Block numbers. Disable 'Block messages' or notification settings related to blocked contacts.
It's my first android phone so I thought I blocked the notifications by mistake (i searched the setting and everything was on), so I tried to test it out this morning to see, and in 15 calls I did 2 were with that problem (not showing notification). I never noticed this in the past, but since the upgrade to Pie on my S9, I've been hearing the default system notification sound whenever the phone blocks a call based on my blocked caller list. For some reason after the recent update I get notifications for every blocked call.
They are as annoying as blocked calls. I have been unable to turn this off. Anyone know how to turn off blocked call notification only.
You must log in or register to reply here. From the home screen, select the Phone app > Menu icon > Settings > Block numbers > Block unknown callers switch. Blocking certain numbers on your Galaxy S9 / S9+ stops unwanted calls and messages.
If you can't receive calls or messages from specific numbers, verify they're not blocked. Calls and messages from contacts or phone numbers added to the block list are automatically ignored.
