I'd avoid Astro, they are not really good sounding headphones without their mixer amp, even then they are not as good as most others. Razer Thresher is actually decent for a gaming company... Do t get me wrong, the spatial sound was excellent.

But this headset couldn't quite get the crisper sound right spatially. Maybe it was an EQ setting, but none of the presets were good enough. This is the thread on Astro forums where many are experiencing the same issue.

I hate using base stations in general, so the A50's is a nope for me. I had a TON of bugs and glitches with my Kraken V3 Pro so I had to return it, BUT if it hadn't had them, I'd still use it to this day. Clean sound with punchy bass make these excellent for immersion.
