To maintain the privacy of our residents and clients, we do not publicly release the addresses of our programming sites. SOME welcomes both adult and youth volunteers who are willing to commit time in support of our mission. Opportunities include youth initiatives, holiday events, family and meal services, and more.
No level of commitment is too small and all are encouraged to take a more active role in our organization. Since 1970, SOME has been a care provider and a beacon of hope to residents in our nations capital. Our services are available to individuals, families, senior citizens, veterans and those affected by physical or mental illness.

SOME redefines affordable housing by creating a stable, supportive foundation that empowers our families to explore their potential through financial education, employment initiatives, parenting classes, and childrens after-school programs. SOME offers supportive affordable housing in safe and dignified apartment homes to families experiencing homelessness and/or poverty.
SOMEs ... The SOME Center for Employment Training (CET) is a licensed post-secondary vocational school. We offer free, hands-on training in the healthcare and building trades fields.
In addition to providing technical instructionin areas such as CPR, First Aid, Heating and Ventingwe also train our students in the soft skills they need to land a job.
