MMS Read provides flexible access to the full data model, but in normal operation, reporting is the preferred mechanism for delivering live measurements and status updates. Numerous Messenger apps provide the possibility to see if a person has read your message. For text messages though, it is not possible to get a read status as it is not part of the SMS protocol.
From here you can access all of the MMS MT, MT Delivery Analysis, and MO reports. You can also export a report to a CSV file by clicking Export CSV, and then saving the file to a local or network folder. Most MMS clients read the RptEna attribute in the server prior to attempting to write to it.
Communications captures, like those shown in Fig. 12 and Fig. 13, can show whether the RptEna attribute is already set to true.
There are different types of reports available, depending on your needs. The Reports tab allows users to create and download detailed messaging reports. Within the main paramter section, select your transportcode (s)/senderID, the message channel and the date/time range of your desired report.
Some carriers return delivery reports as "Opened", which means the MMS is opened and read on the phone.
